Terms of Service

By using Cloak & Docket (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service is

Cloak & Docket gathers public government documents, links each source document, and provides AI-generated summaries and tools to organize, follow, and be alerted about them. It is an information and productivity tool.

AI summaries, and no reliance

Summaries on the Service are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. They are provided for convenience and general information only. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice, and they are not a substitute for the official government document, which we link on every record. Always verify against the official source before you act. We make no warranty that any summary is accurate, complete, or current. You are responsible for how you use the information.

Public records

The underlying documents are public records published by government bodies. We do not control their content, accuracy, timeliness, or availability, and a source may change how or where it publishes at any time, which can delay or interrupt coverage.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and login, for keeping your password secure, and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information. One login per person unless your plan includes additional seats.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Text message (SMS) alerts

Program name: Cloak & Docket Alerts. Cloak & Docket (operated by Gidalaly LLC) offers optional text (SMS) alerts about the Mississippi state-government items you choose to follow — bills, regulatory dockets, and agency actions. The program is optional and requires your opt-in.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk export beyond your plan, no reselling or redistributing the content or summaries without permission, no attempts to break security, and no unlawful use.

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and our summaries and compilations are owned by Gidalaly LLC and protected by law. The government documents themselves are public records. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gidalaly LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made or action taken in reliance on a summary or on the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Gidalaly LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
